Summer Concert Screening of Penny Goring's Necrosong (2024) Performance by Theresa Patzschke 18 July 2024 Galerie Molitor, Berlin

We warmly invite you to a summer concert on Thursday, July 18 in the gallery garden. Featuring a performance by Theresa Patzschke and a screening of Penny Goring's latest video-poem 'Necrosong' (2024) to celebrate the launch of her publiction 'Chronic Forevers'. Penny Goring’s multidisciplinary work as a visual artist and writer interweaves cultural and historical references with semi-autobiographical elements. Recent exhibitions include her retrospective at the ICA London in 2022, Women in Revolt! at the Tate Britain in Fall 2023 as well as Chronic Forevers at Galerie Molitor, which marked her first exhibition in Germany. The accompanying publication was designed by Dan Solbach and features paintings from her ongoing ‘Amelia’ series as well as the’ Forever Doll’ textile sculptures - standing as the latest incarnation of the visual language that Goring has been developing since the 1980s. Theresa Patzschke is a German writer and musician from Berlin. Her fiction has appeared in literature and art magazines such as Starship and Wetter Magazin as well as in exhibition catalogues, and has been performed at Volksbühne Berlin and KW Institute of Contemporary Art among other venues. She has also published in Kaleidoscope, Interview Magazine, SSENSE and 032c. Besides her musical solo projects, she plays in a duo with Eleni Poulou and is part of ETUDE, an ensemble dedicated to playing the music of Philip Corner. ‘Verweile Doch’ is her literary debut, which was published in 2024 by Korbinian Verlag.
